Nice to Meet You

Hi, I’m Sushmita. I’m from Windhoek, Namibia, and this is my honest story.

I’m 30, married to my best friend, and still figuring out who I am ,and for the first time in my life, I’m completely okay with that.

I lost my mom to cancer not too long ago. I was largely raised by my grandparents, two of the most important people in my life who are still very much present. I got married at 25 and somewhere between growing up too fast and carrying wounds I didn’t know I had, I never really got the chance to ask myself: who am I, and what do I want?

This blog is my outlet. My journal made public. It’s for anyone who has ever felt stuck, lost, or not enough.

Mental health still carries so much stigma ,especially here in Namibia , and I refuse to be silent about it anymore.

I don’t have it all figured out. But I’m done pretending.
